Well here are some interesting places to go out for coffee in Buffalo. Check 'em out and see what suits your fancy.
Topic Cafe. This was Buffalo's most famous coffeehouse until it closed down. Now it's said to be in the process of moving, and the number to call to check on the progress of the moving is displayed in the window of the old location on Allen St. across from Mulligan's Brick Bar, west of Delaware Ave. It was supposed to have re-opened some time ago, but no one seems to know when it'll be back up and running now.
Stimulance. This is an excellent coffeehouse on Main St. across from The Steer, a little ways down from UB south campus. They have a full selection of all kinds of coffee-like beverages, and ice cream and other snacks too. Many kinds of places to sit; books; tables; chess games; it's got it all.
Coffee Bean Cafe. This is a small quaint little place nestled right between Third Base and P.J. Bottom's, right on Main St. across from UB south campus. 'Complete selection of coffees, and assorted lunch-type foods and other kinds of beverages. Clean atmosphere with paintings on the walls; convenient location and window view.
Perkins, on Maple Rd., near U.S. 62. This is quite a popular hangout and coffee/eating spot late at night, especially for UB students. They have a full menu with everything on it, and "bottomless" cups of coffee. Good active energetic environment for hanging out with friends and talking at great length.
There are other coffee places in Buffalo, but either they're not salient enough in my mind to include them here yet, or I have not given them a thorough once-over. Updates will be posted as they're generated!
